Step 1: Registration at the terminal
After the driver has selected his language at the self-registration terminal using the button with the country flag, he enters all relevant information such as vehicle number and load data. This registration at the yard terminal enables efficient and secure access by ensuring clear identification and tracking of vehicles and freight.
Step 2: Entry of the truck
When the truck enters the premises, the driver scans the registration barcode using the documents previously received via the self-registration terminal. The driver can then drive onto the company premises.
Step 3: Milk testing
Before the milk is ready for filling, a systematic milk test is carried out to ensure quality and safety, with parameters such as fat content, protein content and bacterial load being carefully analyzed.
Step 4: Refueling / defueling
The freshly milked milk from the farms is unloaded from the truck and then filled into special tanks at the dairy plant. In the processing area, the milk is then fed into the production process to make various dairy products such as yogurt, cheese or milk powder.
Step 5: Controlling the cleaning
Cleaning a truck’s milk tank requires thorough hygiene measures to remove any residue. After emptying the tank, a special cleaning solution is used to remove bacteria and deposits before the tank is used to transport milk again.
Step 6: Exit weighing
Before the truck leaves, it is weighed again. This process step is carried out so that the correct amount of milk can be invoiced to the respective dairy farmer afterwards.
Step 7: Document output
When leaving the yard, documents are issued when the driver presents the required freight documents or shipping documents at the point of departure. These documents are checked and approved by the responsible persons to ensure a smooth logistics process.
Step 8: Evaluation
The entire yard processes are monitored and controlled using cockpits, control stations and mobile apps. All data is stored in the SAP system and can be called up in real time or subsequently analyzed in order to make optimizations.
