VDA 5050
Connect AGV/AMR across manufacturers via VDA 5050
VDA 5050 is the standard interface between control system and automated guided vehicles. FlexGuide4 uses the standard to run AGV/AMR from different manufacturers together with forklifts and tugger trains in one control logic. Since release 2.15, FlexGuide4 also transmits trajectories according to VDA 5050 2.1 and reacts safely to connection losses. For vehicles without VDA 5050, Vendor Connectors are available for proprietary interfaces, for example for Agilox and MiR. This is how Diehl Controls runs 3,000 transport orders at peak with 7 MiR robots, fully automated from SAP and without middleware.
