Control tugger trains dynamically with SAP
The Flexus tugger train control is directly integrated in SAP® and optimizes the control and coordination of your tugger trains in the material supply and disposal.
The optimization and control algorithms shorten the transport routes in the material supply by calculating the most reasonable routes in advance. When planning departure and time routes, data based on the past and the actual distance between destinations are used.
Tugger Train Control can be used as a stand-alone module or as a useful addition to the FLX-TLS material guidance system for SAP.
The tugger train concept is usually based on a flexible number of trailers during the trips. In addition to optimised control, the "FLX-TLS" also takes trailer management into account.
This allows the current location, the loading status and the respective content of the trailer to be managed by the material guidance system. This system maps the loading of the route trailers with containers, reserves the trailer types with different loading capacities and allocates them to the respective route.
In the process, the software takes into account the different loading and unloading processes on the route over the appropriate time period.
Order determination is carried out directly in SAP, taking into account the working time model, breaks, planned times and much more. The tugger train control enables customers to schedule fixed, dynamic and permanent tours for the tugger trains.
The scheduled orders are visualized in a clearly arranged cockpit and can be edited here with regard to sequence and assignment. The transport orders are assigned to the tugger train driver in such a way that all orders are processed on time.
The integration of your tugger trains is possible with the material guidance system of Flexus AG directly in SAP. We distinguished, depending on the degree of automation and dynamics, three different kinds of route planning:
Manage your trailers with the FLX-TLS. Both fixed and mobile or flexible trailers can be mapped directly in SAP.
The FLX-TLS of Flexus AG can integrate thereby B/C frames as well as picking coaches.
The material guidance system supports both a sorted and unsorted loading strategy of the trailers on your route trains.
Also the loading and unloading processes of the route train can be illustrated with the Flexus control system and be integrated directly into SAP.
The material guidance system at EvoBus GmbH, the largest subsidiary of Daimler AG, not only enables simple and transparent control of the forklift fleet - it also takes into account all available resources required for the flow of materials within the company.
Its functions include the optimization of forklift trucks, employees with mobile devices, internal plant truck traffic and tugger trains.
