Integrate your robotics seamlessly into SAP
The requirements for efficiency, precision and flexibility in warehouse logistics are constantly increasing. At the same time, more and more companies are struggling with a shortage of skilled workers. In recent years, collaborative robots such as AMRs(autonomous mobile robots) have therefore become increasingly important.
There is a wide range of mobile robots from different manufacturers. However, this can present companies with challenges when it comes to system integration. This is where
What is SAP Warehouse Robotics?
SAP Warehouse Robotics simplifies the integration of robots and SAP through a simple plug-and-play process. It is available as an add-on for SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management). This means that no additional software is required. Almost any warehouse robot can be integrated into the EWM system and thus automate warehouse and logistics processes.

What are the advantages of Warehouse Robotics?
The introduction of SAP Warehouse Robotics offers a number of benefits in the area of warehouse management. These include
- Increased efficiency: Warehouse Robotics automates repetitive tasks such as storage, retrieval and packing, resulting in a significant increase in overall efficiency.
- Precision: The use of robots minimizes the human error rate. This leads to improved accuracy in warehouse processes and fewer stock shortages.
- Flexibility: The add-on makes it possible to integrate different robot fleets from different providers quickly and easily into SAP.
- Easy scaling: Warehouse Robotics allows uncomplicated adaptation to changing logistical requirements and the growth of the company.
- Improved safety: By automating potentially risky warehouse tasks (e.g. lifting heavy loads), the risk of injury to employees is minimized considerably.
- Many possible applications: Whether small warehouses or large distribution centers – the SAP add-on can support automation in various areas.
- Cost reduction: The rapid integration of different robots and the automation of work processes can save time and money.
SAP Warehouse Robotics vs. Flexus AGV Hub
One disadvantage of Warehouse Robotics is that it is not VDA5050 compatible. Communication with the driverless transport vehicles takes place using a framework via manufacturer-specific interfaces. The Flexus AGV Hub, on the other hand, works independently of the manufacturer. Different manufacturers can be connected via VDA5050 with little effort.
