The process for synchronizing product inventory and transport orders has been adjusted: Status changes and lock reasons between EWM and FlexGuide are now displayed correctly. Information from the warehouse inventory (e.g., from location) is updated when unlocking and opening the transport order. Breaking change: Before the update, the settings for verification in EWM synchronization must be checked and adjusted if necessary. The verification of individual warehouse orders must be stopped and restarted if necessary.
In FlexGuide4, transport orders can now be created directly through a digital connection to SAP WM. After creation, the transport order number and position are automatically returned and transferred directly to the transport order.
The WM interface has been expanded so that the due date for orders can now be set in the same way as for the EWM interface. The time and date can be transferred directly from an existing field and adjusted automatically if necessary.
When running the “Search for specified transport order” test, the interface now remains online and the fields entered for the transfer order number and transfer order position are retained. The structure has been adapted to the EWM interface so that operation is consistent and trouble-free.
Signals
With the new OPC UA interface, sensors can be connected directly to the FlexGuide4 and configured individually. All signals are displayed in a clear list and can be maintained there, including information on type, value, data type, and changes. This simplifies the integration of existing sensor technology, makes processes more transparent, and allows them to be flexibly adapted to the individual requirements of the customer.
Order Management
From now on, orders can be grouped together so that related transports can be processed in a single step. This optimizes routes, speeds up processes, and increases efficiency in daily operations.
The REST API in FlexGuide has been expanded: Origin, OriginKey, and Destination can now be customized using the trip order ID. This makes it easier and more flexible to update trip orders from external systems.
Transport orders can be assigned directly to a resource or exchanged externally. The endpoint automatically checks whether the resource and the order are valid and returns detailed messages in the event of errors. This enables flexible and automated control of driving orders.
In transport control, the activation of orders has now been improved so that the set lead time takes effect reliably. Orders are now activated X minutes before the due date as intended, which means that planning and control are once again carried out correctly.
In the setting: Priority “Space Capacity,” combinations of from and to locations as well as trip order types are taken into account. This allows trip orders to be prioritized more flexibly. A sorting function can be used to assign different priority values—including negative ones—as soon as a certain number of transport orders with this combination are available. The new priority is also taken into account directly in the transport order check, allowing for even more targeted planning.
Layout Editor
When a path network is recreated with a specific resource type and another resource type is to be added afterwards, each individual edge previously had to be edited manually to check or uncheck the box for this resource type. With the new multiple selection feature, several edges can now be selected and adjusted at the same time, making the maintenance and expansion of path networks significantly faster and more convenient.
In addition to mobile robots, the Layout Editor now also displays the last positions of forklifts. This gives users a complete overview of all resources on the layout.
In road networks, reference points for external coordinates can now also be created and edited in normal (non-LIF) networks. LIF networks remain read-only as usual, while points can be freely maintained in all other networks.
Dialogs
A new control parameter has been introduced in the “Add additional driving order” dialog box, which controls the checking of the stored charging scheme. If the parameter is active, the charging scheme—including charging carrier type and number—is not checked. This allows driving orders to be added flexibly without being restricted by the standard charging scheme rules. By default, the loading scheme check remains active to ensure consistency.
In the “Drive trip order” dialog, the function for placing trip orders has been stabilized. Trip orders can now be placed reliably without having to go back or revalidate the destination.
In the “Quick Creation” dialog, the current driving orders are now automatically updated after each click. This means that changes are displayed immediately and a manual browser refresh is no longer necessary.
The validation of storage location and material barcodes has been expanded. The system now recognizes specific storage location labels in different formats, as well as material labels with transport number/position and material number. This allows different barcode standards to be used directly and validated correctly.
The manual creation dialog for transport orders has been expanded so that the statuses “Inactive” and “Ready” can now also be selected. This allows users to create transport orders in a more targeted manner and set the desired processing status directly.
FlexGuide4 now supports photos in the order dialogs in addition to SAP pictograms. This makes it easier to recognize materials, simplifies operation, and reduces selection errors. Each order item can now be assigned a corresponding image for quick identification.
The “Add additional trip order” dialog now displays the 50 nearest open trip orders by default. If the desired order is not among them, the system automatically searches the backend for suitable trip orders and displays the first match. This keeps the dialog clear while ensuring that all relevant orders remain accessible.
Dashboard
Filter variants are now handled correctly in the order overview: When a filter is retrieved and subsequently adjusted, the saved variant is no longer automatically overwritten. Changes can still be used temporarily without losing the original filter. This means that the filter can be reloaded in its original state at any time.
Product Settings
The CAP Telemetry Plugin has been integrated into FlexGuide4 to analyze and optimize frequently used processes. This allows bottlenecks in the processing of adapter synchronizations, bots, and order assignments, for example, to be identified in order to improve performance in a targeted manner.
